Hp tuners o2 sensor readings

A huge misunderstanding results from the type of O2 sensors which can be used in each application. The AFR+ system uses a wideband O2 sensor to display the full range of AFR values and target performance AFR values along with fuel economy AFR values. A Narrowband O2 Sensor is only calibrated to know whether the current AFR is rich, lean, or stoich. The sensor targets a NARROW range around the stoich AFR value of 14.6 to help stock ECU systems fuel trim to meet emission standards. The rears are O2S2B1 and O2S2B2 (Oxygen Sensor 2 Bank 1 / Bank 2). Spark - Throttle Rate Spark - pic 5 Your car is pulling a ton of timing when you hit the throttle. Highlight that entire table, go to the top of that window and where you see the "=+X " and a white box. Put .5 in the white box and hit the X. HP Tuners offers a number of enhanced operating systems for various applications. HP Tuners, the home of VCM Suite and the MPVI since 2003. Now enhancing these to new heights with a new feature rich VCM Editor and VCM Scanner, coupled together with the latest generation MPVI2, this is only tuning and diagnostic solution you’ll ever need for your modern OBDII vehicle. With the tuner you can back off the timing in the higher RPM range and keep it down low. I would think keeping more timing down low would be best to help it get off the line and then taper it off slightly based on knock retard readings, trying to keep them around zero for the most part. Good luck with everything. Oct 06, 2017 · For example: a 12.8:1 observed reading with gasoline is divided by 14.7 to produce a .87 Lambda reading. An Oxygen sensor is actually a Lambda sensor, and an equation is necessary (Lambda reading X stoichiometric ratio) in order to calculate AFR. Jan 09, 2018 · How An Exhaust Leak Affects Wideband/O2 Sensor Readings Even the tiniest hole in an exhaust system can affect the accuracy of a wideband gauge. We put that to the test on the engine dyno with an MTX-L Plus gauge and a set of drill bits. Thank you Keith, HP TUNERS You'll want to go through the DTC list and find all sensors of both bank 1 and bank 1 that are labeled as Sensor 2.. Sensor 2 indicated the rear sensor (on V8 applications). The 30-0334 X-Series OBDII Wideband Gauge is validated to work with HP Tuners VCM Suite! The X-Series Wideband AFR OBDII Gauge includes an OBDII pass-through connector and Bosch 4.9LSU sensor that can be free-air calibrated or used with the factory resistor calibration. I'm almost ready to buy HPTuners, but I need to know if this is possible. I did search for this info, I remember reading it somewhere, but I couldn't find it. I have intake, headers, no cats and e-cutouts. The rear O2 sensors aren't plugged in, so the CEL is on. Will I be able to turn that off... This Wideband O2 sensor is currently the only “plug and play” solution compatible with the HP Tuners MPVI2 unit and VCM scanner. Compatible with the majority of street and race cars Apr 26, 2004 · part throttle is all closed loop. most midrange gains will be found by increasing your timing. by the sounds of it you need to get your fuel trims negative as well to get a consistent WOT fueling. the most common way to do this is to decrease the Injector Flow Rate tables (multiply the whole table by 0.95 or similar depending how +ve your trims are). ie. tell the PCM the engine has smaller ... Alright guys well i have been having a problem with my bank 2 sensor 1 O2 sensor. At WOT bank 1 reads 851, and bank 2 reads 56.... im pretty sure this is causing my car to knock on hard pulls... According to the aem uego instructions, with the sensor disconnected from the gauge you should get a v reading of 2.35 and a reading of 14.8. The lap top is showing me 2.42 v and a reading of 14.8 which matches the gauge. Once I plug the sensor back in it gives me a reading of 3.7v and afr 17.8, which also matches the gauge. Sep 25, 2019 · Wideband O2 sensors record voltages, not AFR values. Therefore if you just scan the channel your wires are plugged into, you will get nonsensical voltage values that mean nothing to you. You need to use the HPTuners "Math Parameters Manager" to define a new transfer function under "User Math 1". Sep 25, 2019 · Wideband O2 sensors record voltages, not AFR values. We put that to the test on the engine dyno with an MTX-L Plus gauge and a set of drill bits. 2. Power down the MTX-L and attach the oxygen sensor using the cable provided. When making these connections, make sure they are fully seated and locked. Again, make sure that the sensor is in free air (not in the exhaust). 3. Power up the MTX-L. Again, the display should ‘sweep’, but instead of an error, the display will display “Htr”. Nov 10, 2012 · Pull the sensor out and find that one of the female pins is buggered up. Here is a picture So the sensor must have been working but the heater was not, hence the odd readings. Hooked up the new sensor I got and had it just hanging there....wasn't getting a reading other than 450mv. We put that to the test on the engine dyno with an MTX-L Plus gauge and a set of drill bits. My bank 2 O2 sensor was reading near dead, so I checked my wiring and found that I had put it's power wire in the sensor 2 pin. This fixed the sensor signal, but now that I'm getting a signal, I am getting polar opposite air/fuel readings between the two banks. Bank 1 is read high mV and bank 2 is reading ridiculously low mV.
